Charissa is a 21 year old singer/songwriter and Burlington native. She started performing acoustically at a local coffee house in Burlington at the age of 12. At those shows, she won the junior and grand champion titles, the youngest to ever do so. Other local performances include one in Burlington’s Civic Square for the celebration of the arrival of the Olympic Torch. the Hamilton Music Awards Rising Star competition and a finalist in the Young Artist category of Creative Burlington’s Arts Recognition awards along with being the recipient of Burlington’s Battle of the Best Talent competition several years in a row which gave me the opportunities to be a part of the Canada Day festivities on the big stage at Spencer Smith Park as well as an opener for Burlington Student Theatre. Some of my notable appearances include performances at Nashville's legendary Bluebird Cafe, CHCH TV Live Music Friday segment, various live performances on country radio, the CMAOntario's industry showcase and Burlington's Sound of Music Festival.
